The Hair Shots 2 The World 2025 Collection of the Year winner is Sara Allsop of Dharma in Auckland.

The collection featured six images shot for cover with five of the images earning 6 covers around the world.

Images from the ‘Flowers of Life’ collection not only won Sara the 2025 AHIA New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year title but saw the images celebrated on covers in Belgium, Canada, France, Norway, Poland and Taiwan so far.

“It’s no surprise that this collection is doing so well internationally because Jock Robson photographed all six images in the precise way that editors need them,” head of Hair Shots 2 The World, Leanne Cutler said.

“The editors job was made easy by there being space above the head for the masthead, pleasing neutral expressions on the model’s faces, an attractive background colour and careful placement of flowers to add interest whilst still leaving space for wording.

“And of course, the hairdressing by Sara Allsop was sublime.”

Hair Shots 2 The World achieved 31 covers in 2025 from a large variety of clients.

“We seem to always do well with achieving large numbers of covers but that’s because we have so many highly experienced photographers and shoot teams these days,” Leanne said.

She said that editors approached Hair Shots 2 The World for more image than could be provided, especially men’s.

Hair Shots 2 The World needs to send as many collections as possible to create viability through economies of scale, booking season will be announced shortly.
